Accessible Beach Fun in Sunset Beach!
Effective July 1, 2026, rental cost is $10 per day.
At the Town of Sunset Beach, we believe everyone should have the chance to enjoy our beautiful shores. That’s why we offer surf chairs and walkers for those who need assistance getting to the beach!
How It Works
🏄 Surf Chairs & Walkers Delivered to You – Our Town Staff will bring the equipment right to your doorstep.
🚚 Delivery & Pickup Schedule – Deliveries happen 8:00 AM – 12 NOON, and pickups start at 2:00 PM. (Not available on weekends or holidays.)
📍 Delivery Location – We can only deliver to homes within the Sunset Beach Corporate Limits.
✍️ Sign at Delivery & Pickup – You must be present to receive and return the equipment.
🚗 Getting to the Beach – You’ll need a large SUV, pickup, or van to transport the surf chair (it does not fold). Walkers do fold for easier transport.

Pricing
The cost for renting a chair or walker is $10 per day.
*If renting more than two weeks, please contact Town Hall before submitting an application.
*Reminder: There is not drop off or pickup on weekends. If looking to rent for a Saturday and/or Sunday, drop off must be Friday or earlier and pickup must be Monday or later.

To request a surf chair or walker, please fill out the online application here and submit payment online. If there is an issue, we will reach out. Otherwise, your rental is confirmed when the application and payment are both completed.
