It is that time of year again!! The Sunset Beach Police Department is collecting candy for our annual Trunk or Treat event, happening October 28th, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the Sunset Beach Town Park. Candy donation bins are available at Sunset Beach Town Hall, Market Express/RM Mart (Shell), Dollar General, and Dollar Tree.

The support we receive from our community each year is what helps make this event such a success. We’re looking forward to another safe, fun-filled evening for our local kids and families.

If you’re out shopping and would like to help, simply grab an extra bag (or two) of individually wrapped candy and drop it in one of our collection bins. Every donation helps.

Local business or non-profit organizations are also invited to participate in this year’s event. If you’d like to join us, please email cdraheim@sunsetbeachnc.gov for more information.

Thank you, Sunset Beach, for always showing up for our kids and our local community.
