Garbage and Recycling Information
Garbage and recycling collection within the Sunset Beach Town limits is provided by Green For Life and regulated by Town Ordinance Chapter 50.
Garbage Collection
Garbage is picked up on the mainland and island weekly every Wednesday.
Recycling Collection
Recycling is picked up on the mainland and island every other Wednesday. During the summer, island pickup moves to every Saturday.
If interested in enrolling in this service, please do so through our payment portal.
Checks are also accepted and can be made payable to: Town of Sunset Beach. If paying by check, include the service address information, or we cannot enroll you.
Island property: $160 (additional pickup during summer)
Mainland property: $115

County Collection Site - Free Recycling
You may also take your garbage and recycling to the Highway 904 Convenient Site located at 746 Seaside Road SW Sunset Beach, NC 28468. The Site hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Please visit their website for costs and further information.
